Okay, so normally i turn my folding on when i go to sleep, and normally everything stays cool and i dont have any issues. Today when i woke up i noticed that my computer had shut down. When i rebooted my computer it didnt give me any messages that it had been turned off wrong, or if it had crashed or anything.

Should i be concerned? Or should i just kinda ignore it and chalk it up to just updates or somthing?

Collecting every single CPU in existence? Is it possible? I have no idea, but i'm sure gonna try! http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/341848-dont-throw-away-old-cpus-im-collecting/

mine did that too, went into standby and eventually shut down

you might want to turn off the sleep or auto-off function. If you don't know how to do it, I can find the article I used to do it on my pc

GO to control panel > power options and look through all of the advanced settings and basically set it up so your pc is as power hungry as possible.

If its hard-shutting down on you, you may have a heat issue though so check that.

Disable windows automatic installation of updates. OR disable windows update all together if you can remember to manually do it yourself every once in a while.

Run HWMonitor for a while, while Folding is running, and check what the temps are on the devices. Could also be the board temps themselves overheating and causing a thermal shutdown.

Some work units are know to crash computers. I can't recall which ones but I had 2 WUs that if I got them would BSOD my PC and it would restart.
