so i want to build a good PC but i have a limited budget

what i can do is getting an AMD CPU (FX 6300) with Nvidia GPU (GTX 960)

i'm a little noob over here .. but are these specs good enough for 1080p gaming ?! i'm trying to find the sweet spot to balance between both of them.

and about the motherboard .. what what are the things i should consider while buying one ?!

thnx for your help :)

Meh, an i3 and an r9 280 would be a much better option. This motherboard is really nice, some people may hate on asrock, but this is amazing for the price. It has pretty nice features and is even black, which is unheard of for $60.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($103.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock B85 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($59.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB Dual-X Video Card  ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $333.97
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Actually I understand they're like a sister company to Asus, I am on an ASRock board, a B85 in fact and it's working great no complains so far.

Well most motherboards in my mind look like plastic. I think unless you spend a lot of money, like $200, most of them look like that.

Love the look of the sabertooth boards, especially those with the included water loop. However the fact that most of the ASUS waterloops use aluminum seems really fricking dumb considering most coolers use copper radiators.   Can anyone say corrosion?

Why recommend a dual core(unless it has hyper therading)? Battlefield has NPCs missing in the game on a dual core and Far Cry 4 does not even work on one unless you do a "fix". It will very quickly become a problem since yyou know damn well devs will make it hell with these unoptomized games coming out. Rather have a weaker single thread CPU if it ment having more than two cores... The 6300 wont bottleneck a GTX 960 anyways. Thats a solid 1080p build.

EDIT: Never mind. I swear my eyes told me you guys were recommending a pentium lol The i3 is decent enough over the 6300. Still with that much of a cost a 8320 is better. My local microcenter has the 8370e for $120. Cant ever see taking an i3 over that.

if we are comparing with the core i3 4150 .. i'll put it with the AMD 6350 because they have the same price in my country

the AMD 6350 obviously have the better specs and can be overclocked ..

and the 6 vs 2 cores thing .. is it bad to have more cores ?!

told you i'm a little bit noob .. so take it easy :)

the price of parts considered :-

R9 280 dual-x : 280 $

nvidia 960 strix : 300$

----

i3 4150 : 150$

i3 4360 : 175$

FX 6350 : 150$

FX 6300 : 130$

FX 8320 : 200$

FX 8370e : 235$

the i5's 270$+

now i dont know what to do .. i fell that the i3 are not that powerful .. so i might push it a little bit further

what do you think guys ?! what's the better combination ?!
