Looking for a good budget gaming build.

Hi.

I am new to the PC building community and I am looking for a good $600 USD Gaming build.

I'm just looking for the PC itself, and one thing I need is 4 cores, at least.

AMD Or Intel, I really don't care :P

I am planning on running one 1080p 60hz IPS display:

http://www.amazon.com/AOC-i2367Fh-23-Inch-Frameless-LED-Lit/dp/B009V8F700

I don't really care about noise, I just want raw performance out of this thing.

Thanks :)

It has a GTX 960 and a i5 4430 at $608.  It'd be difficult to willingly go lower on anything.  You could skimp more on the motherboard but I would say go higher on the PSU, what is selected should be good though.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

I'd ignore my last one, without a doubt the one by Weak1ings is superior.

I've taken his and modified it a bit, credit is still due to him. I didn't even take the risk on an i5 at this price... and I should have. Lesson Learned. ;)

I'd spend the bit extra and grab the fans for the front intake of this case.

Hey, thanks for the compliment!

I like your edit more especially the power supply but I think 1TB HDDs are the minimum for any user, that and for $12 more you can get more 500 Gigs.

I agree. I'm one of the rare breeds of people that get by with 256gb or less... all I have in my rig is a 240gb SSD ;)

I think we'd agree it might be best to spend a bit over budget and get the more complete package:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($173.95 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock B85 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($59.99 @ SuperBiiz)

The price:performance is outstanding.

Note: The fans are in a twin pack. They should be placed in the front of the case as intakes*.

CPU: Intel i5-4690k                                                               RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengance Pro DDR3-2400                                                                     Case: NZXT S340
