Hi guys!

I'm running a multi monitor setup and i'm having some issues.

Scenario : I'm playing LoL on my main screen and i have a browser on a secondary screen. The LoL monitor is playing in Borderless window mode.

The second monitor is having a browser with maybe 5-6 tabs open, including Facebook.

If i tab back and forth between the monitors, my game will go to 30 FPS, which is fine. (I assume it's because the computer puts the other screen in focus)

However, sometimes when i play, and i get a message on facebook, the computer will put facebook on focus, even though i'm gaming.

That leaves me playing with a game with about 30 FPS, while it should have steady 60FPS.

Am i right about the monitor focus change?

Is it possible that it IS the Facebook messages that steals said focus?

Ps. my specs are NOT the issue. :)

just a quick question

is the second monitor connected to the GPU?

can you swap the monitor to be connected to the mobo?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

you shouldnt have facebook in the first place. ;)

lel

thers got to be some issue with that just being some rare windows thing.

i have a bunch of games that just straight up wont run above 30FPS unless my browser is closed. (even midori, one tab, doing nothing, )

Turning off V-sync will result in drops from 270FPS to , still that same 30FPS once my browser decides to steal focus. Mind you, i do not lose access to my game, it just feels like it focuses on the browser. It happens even if the facebook tab is not selected.

All my monitors are connected to the GPU.

My main is connected via HDMI, and my secondaries are the white one (VGA?)

that is the issue

the GPU is driving too many displays

you can off load the display for facebook and chrome to the Intel HD Graphics

go to BIOS and force enable the Integrated

set 1GB for VRAM

connect the second monitor to the mobo

boot to Windows, set res for second monitor

job done

I thought all my monitors were supposed to connected to my GPU.

WHat about my third monitor then?

And will they have lower quality on, say YouTube or Vessel?

YouTube can by powered by the Intel Graphics

it suppose to even allow you to playback 4K

same goes for the 3rd monitor

you just connect to the mobo

Do i need to change some settings? When i plug one of the monitors into the MB, it says no signal.

Enable integrated graphics in BIOS. You might be having it disabled and also the monitors running off mono won't be powered with ur GPU while playing demanding games. So u can play demanding games only on one monitor. If u want to play on three monitors simultaneously then plug back the monitors to GPU when u want

Also using two monitors for social media while using one for games is weird. I personally keep a tablet or iPad near PC so I can chat as well as play games
