Do you guys think that the servers will be fine for online at launch?

I remember during the 360 launch the online servers didn't work at all, I believe the same is also true for the current gen consoles. 

 

So will we be able to jump straight into online or play story mode only?

I expect them to break. Its a big launch so i am definitely expecting issues. I will honestly be surprised if it goes smoothly.

I may have to buy it... does anyone know if there will be mods like the trainer in GTA 4?

There eventually will be with time I'd imagine. Just gotta give time for good mods to be developed.

the modding community is gonna storm the game and do all crazy shit, if rockstar allows modding in gta v

They mentioned they don't care if single player is modded, they just want GTA Online to be un-moddable

I'm going to make a rather insane prediction.

 

The launch is going to go well if not with a little bugs.

 

Game launches (On PC) have been really well this year.

 

Rockstar has surely learned from the failures that GTA Online was for Old-Gen Consoles.

with the 360 launch there was no online servers.. it came 2 weeks later.. probably why it wouldn't work for you ;)

I mean it didn't work when they launched. I remember not being able to access online for 2 weeks after GTA Online launched

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?

I don't think the servers will be able to handle the massive hit at launch. But well, we might have  a chance. Lots of players will start with the single player, yours truely included.

 

 

Seriously, a separate thread for each feature? A dozen of these threads would have been perfectly fine as one. A mod should merge them all.

 

Not really. There would be one huge 60+ pages thread and in every reply people talk about another topic and reapting themselves over and over. Pure mess. I don't see the problem in having mutilple threads. Keeping it simple.Tomorrow is the release anyway, so half of the threads will be obsolete.

I'll play story for a bit to find the sweet spot setting my PC can handle at 4k and then I'll delve into online.

after all you need to be like level 150 to get the best guns!

doubt I'll import my 360 character. have a clean slate.

Can you do this?? wouldn't creating a new character delete all you're old ones money? so no returning player bonus would be lost.

You can have more than 1 online character, and I'm just doing it for the returning player bonus, not for the character or the money tied up with that character
