does anyone could help me with How to set hardware reserved space from RAM?

I just installed Windows 8 X64 but here comes the question

 

the Memory is 7.88GB out of 8GB

 

how can I release the hardware reserved  Memory free？I think I disabled the Intel graphic card（BIOS） and I tried the msconfig，I also tried  switched the memory card at different place.

 

I m sorry I can't provide English screenshot. I wish someone could help me with that.

by the way my motherboard is Z97MX gaming-5 ; memory G.skill 1600 2*4GB

Maybe lower the ram the iGPU gets can help, even when it's disabled. You can change that in the bios.

But anyway, there is always some ram used by the system. It's normal losing that bit. Just don't worry about it.

 

edit: I have 130MB for the hardware. I do have an iGPU running, but even without it, it won't go away, there will always be a bit used.

you never get the full amount

think of it like a HDD..you pay for 500gb but get like 479 or something

I haven't seen a config in my life that had 0 used for the hardware... I have it seen as less as 4mb, but never 0...

yes I did reset bios, and checked the setting all shows disabled.

What is the reason behind wanting to release the HW reserved RAM? You have plenty by the looks of it, ~5.5GB usable 8GB total. The 'standby' amount is ram that is used to increase the speed and responsiveness of the OS when it would otherwise be doing nothing. If an application requires more memory then it will lower the amount of standby ram for that application. If the green bar was full then you would have cause for concern.

Look again, bottom number in the screenshot, 8192mb installed.
