Drivers crash once ram hits last 0.5mb of memory on the 970

Aircooled Brain

My friend owns a gigabyte 970,Drivers crashed once it hit the last 0.5 mb and each time a different bandwith was displayed.Same thing happened on my card.Nice work nvidia nice work.

EDIT: We used nai benchmark and ran on onboard display.

did you use gpuz to see how much v ram you where using. What programs did you use to test this? What games and setting? I want to try to do the same.

Are you overclocked? Memory overclocked?

Nope.Everything at stock.

 

That's not a driver thing... I've run said bench on my 970s, and they never crashed.

thank you kind sir. I will try it out sometime tonight. I didn't crash when i hit over 3.5 in skyrim. Did you have Samsung memory? Ill see if i can get mine to crash like all the cool kids.

Samsung memory is best for overclocking...

Priller hasnt done a run in 11.5 with those clocks

Its from hynix on mine.In gaming it never crashes but in nai benchmark it goes down like a rabbit in front of a shotgun.
