So. If you check the build in my sig, you will see that I have purchased the ram and mobo. The blues don't match. Best way to paint them, and retain metallic feel/shine?

i would cover the parts that conduct and touch the mobo electrically with something like tape (electrical tape)

usually people use plstidip because it resists high temperature, looks great, and can be peeled off if you need to redo or remove the paint (for RMA or something)

you can get paint pens thay work well or the high quality paints used for model aircraft / cars etc.

must be in a dust free place, temp controlled and good lighting to make a good paint job.

I suggest to remove the heatsinks if you can to just ensure there is no problem when painting so it doesn't risk the RAM modules. As for painting plasti-dip is very popular since it's a removable rubber coating, but spray paint is also another good option just be sure to properly sand/scuff up the surface clean and paint.
