So, I want to write a simple game engine, I started it a few months ago but I'm not too happy about the results, so I'm starting again from scratch.

And since I see a lot of people are streaming game dev on twitch I thought why not? although I'm not sure if I should stream it or not for a few reasons:

 • bad connection (0.40 in upload)

 • no microphone

 • may be boring to watch coding an engine

what do you think, should I try to stream it?

also this post is not for spam, I'm not going to link my channel, please don't report it, it's just for opinions about my idea.

nothing ventured, nothing gained

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Segments are probably useless and won't help anybody, what about timelapses?

well, if you do a voice over it could help people learn. timelapse could be cool too.

I guess the key questions are "Why" and "for which audience", if that makes sense?

If you want to compete for viewers you have to figure out why people are tuning into that stuff. Look at the most successful of the people who are doing it and figure out what it is they're doing that's attracting the viewers.

The idea was to help other people and at the same time receiving tips and suggestions to improve my code.

I guess if that's what people are doing these days (to get their work done / their stuff processed etc.) and you want to be a part of that, then why not? :0/
