My R9 280X is messing with my colors :/

SuperPug

I mainly noticed this in BF4. I've always thought BF4 was waaay to dark and the colors were too muted but blamed the game until recently for some weird reason the colors got really vibrant, bright and nice but only temporarily. It happened after connecting another display to the pc to test something and then switching back to my main monitor. Sadly after adjusting the resolution the colors are now shit again. It looks completely desaturated with a grey tint. Used different cables and switched resolutions around but to no avail. Now im back to my game looking like a shitty washed out grey mess. I assume the issue is not BF4 exclusive, since i had to turn up the brightness to 100% and still feel like its too dark.

TL;DR I'll go throw my R9 280X in a river... now if there only was a river nearby.

Im assuming you think that its my screen that makes it look weird. But i've tried it on another screen and even my Samsung TV (on which the colors where vibrant aswell until i adjusted the resolution - adjusting back didn't bring the colors back). It has to be something the GPU is doing... I've noticed when running unigin valley benchmark it also fades the colors on the desktop for whatever reason.

Maybe it's the monitor. Never heard a GPU do this before but there's a chance it could be it.
