So many choices.....

So I have some money to blow because why not.... There are so many things to choose from to buy... I was thinking of either selling my 2 970 and getting 2 980s (Cuz why not). Get a third 970 (Cuz why not). Replace my 3770K with a 4790K (With a new motherboard). Custom liquid cooling loop for my CPU. Or get a 4th monitor.... I have ~$500 and some parts to sell which can get me another ~$600 IF NEEDED! What should I do in these times of uncertainty! Note! I already have an H100i closed loop for my CPU.

Do you have enough SSDs? Would you benefit from upgrading your GPUs?

The most sensible to me would be a CPU upgrade and more SSDs

Honestly just hold off then dude, your CPU is fine but that's what I would suggest to upgrade if you must but im sure it'll last you till Broadwell or even Skylake if you can handle it.

I know there is more accurate information but from memory I think it is

Broadwell 2015 Q2 - socket 1155

Skylake 2015 Q4 - socket 1151 I think, whatever it is it wont be 1155 and not 2011

Changing 3770k to 4790k is just a waste of money as is 3 way SLI. And two 980s will perform not so much better than two 970s to justify the cost. I dont think you need an upgrade :/

Well I want this PC to last a LONG time. I will also be going to university soon and want this PC to last long after that since I wont have as much time to use it when I'm at university, but don't worry I will find room for it in a dorm!

Is it? I mean I can get the 4790K for $280 right now...

OK.... Hmmm. So many different opinions... Would it be worth it to upgrade to those?

Broadwell over your current one... Not really much of an upgrade, skylake however might net a bit more of an upgrade but we don't have much specs on it so it's hard to say

Yes it is.. there is barely any performance increase which you can remove by OCing your 3770k as it tends to OC higher than 4790k.

Usualy you can OC 3770k to 4.5GHz-4.7GHz while most 4790k 4.4GHz-4.5GHz.

4790k is around 5% faster clock to clock which you can easily beat with 3770k if you can OC it slightly higher.

OK. I might just need to wait.... But waiting xD But the prices on those will probably be very high wont they?

my 3770K gets really hot and that's what limits it. Right now I'm at 4.2 and I hit the TJ max if I do a stress test xD

I wouldn't have a clue about price, but they'd be something similar to when the current gen ones were released.

the above is for the CPU

Motherboard on the ther hand form what ive seen new chipsets are often expensive but again we'll just have to see when they are actually releasing specs

Oddly enough your income or your savings do not in fact determine your social class. It is entirely possible to be the lowest born plebeian, and yet have masses of wealth. Likewise, it is entirely possible to be of the highest Gentry and yet be completely broke.

VCore is at.... Hell I don't know... I'm not good at overclocking CPU that well but I want to start to. I mean the items for the CPU are on sale... I'm going to go to MicroCenter right now and see their opinion and I might buy some things....
