What gaming monitor?

megab2000

So I am currently using a dual setup of the iiYama ProLite E2480HS and they have been great but I am looking to upgrade from the boring 60hz refresh rate :)

I have seen the Benq monitors used by professionals and also the Eizo monitors. Please could you help me choose one (got a budget of up to £350) I want a 1ms Response time and if possible a 240hz refresh rate with that but everything else is from your reccommendation :)

There are no 240Hz monitors. 144Hz is the highest there is. Any "240Hz" monitors don't actually have a 240Hz refresh rate (i.e. Eizo FG2421)

Maybe look at the BenQ XL2411Z or ASUS VG248QE.

Perhaps do:  >144Hz(so 240,600Hz plasmas and so on), what does it mean? on the FAQ/mythbuster.

CPU: Intel 3570 GPUs: Nvidia GTX 660Ti Case: Fractal design Define R4  Storage: 1TB WD Caviar Black & 240GB Hyper X 3k SSD Sound: Custom One Pros Keyboard: Ducky Shine 4 Mouse: Logitech G500

just looked on amazon. whats the benefit of having: 2x hdmi, s switch, DP & game mode. over having HDMI with no speakers?

edit: was looking at the BenQ one - http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-XL2411Z-24-inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B00HZF2JWA

I think BenQ assumes you're using headphones. Monitor speakers tend to be pretty crappy anyway.

So if I was to buy the monitor I should just go with the cheapest version (the one without speakers?) because I already have headphones

if you can afford the eizo https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-004-EO&groupid=17&catid=1851

go for it, and expect to need to hold an average 120fps and you`ll enjoy crt like motion clarity thx to the extra 120 inserted black frames

Or just go with anyone on the freesync/gsync list and you WILL have a good time

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?catid=948&groupid=17&sortby=priceAsc

id recomend the 21:9`s with freesync, cant think of a more enjoyable gaming xp myself

Not its not "the best" its just the cheapest.

Also, regarding your second choice - i dont understand - you WANT to throw away money for no reason?

Why not choose any of these three 300 pound gsync monitors?

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?catid=948&groupid=17&sortby=priceAsc

id recommend the acer xb270ha... cuz its BIG

considering gsync monitor costs 300, and a non gsync one 200 - id say gsync is a must
