PCSX2 is pretty good, haven't used it much other than getting it set up, so I haven't really used it long enough to experience any major issues.  The initial setup process is quite fiddly though in comparison to say GBA/NDS/Gamecube emulation.

From my experiences with it, most games run, but how well they do varies from game to game.  Lego Star Wars for example runs flawlessly, upscaled and no texture or lighting issues.  I've had a few lighting and shadow effect issues in NFS Most Wanted and Transformers (Armada), but aside from that the games themselves run perfectly fine.  They have a pretty comprehensive list of what games work and don't work up on their website, and it seems to be a lot more populated compared to when I initially looked into PS2 emulation several years ago.

Probably what I like most about it is that I can choose to run my old PS2 games straight from the disk in my optical drive.
