Help uninstalling AV on iMac

Go to solution Solved by Atmos,

Deleted the files from the hard drive.

Only thing left to say is, Why the fuck dont macs have a built in uninstaller... Seriously. Like, what the actual fuck Apple.

Alright, so my grandfather about two weeks ago managed to nab a nasty little bit of ransomeware on his iMac running OSX Yosemite.

It encrypted all of his files, and was forced to pay the $150 to get them unencrypted. When all was said and done, the program installed 360 internet security on his mac, and now I'm here trying to install sophos internet sec, but the 360 IS wont let me install another AV until it has been uninstalled. I'm a windows guy ok, and this computer's system to handling uninstalling of apps makes no sense to me at all, coupled with the fact that in the 360 IS control panel there is no option to uninstall, and in the root directory there is no uninstall program to launch.

Help bitte? anyone know of a quick way to totally get rid of this POS without installing like, tonnes of other programs to uninstall stuff?

iMac and a virus? That isn't supposed to be possible... :D

To make sure, I would just backup all of your grandfather files and doing a reset/reinstall (i got no idea if OSX has a reset option)...
