What is a good electric razor/shaver to buy?

How well do they work on beards? As in,  never completely shave everything, except for parts of my check, my neck, parts of my chin and under the ears.

The one I have has a trimmer at the back for longer/coarser hair so I use that first when I haven't shaved in a while to get everything down to a level that the regular head can get off without a problem. I shave clean so I know it works on all areas well.
