I closed the afterburner because fc4 had a bug where it wouldn't run with afterburner running in background. But after I quit the temps were fine, everything were fine.

DUDE, YOUR OVERCLOCK IS TOO MUCH. You can kill your card.

There is a core limit even if the temps are good

is it the game thats broken or something with my gpu?

Remove your overclock, try the game at stock speeds, and then we can tell.

Ahh turns out it was my overclock. I thought it was the game because the game is buggy as with ubisoft. It's wierd tho because I see people reaching 1500mhz on gtx 980 very easy. Thanks everyone for helping.

If you need higher overclocks, try increasing the voltage

Yeah I'm reaching 1540 without touching voltage for now... well maybe you just lost at the silicon lottery.
