I am paying for a computer myself, so I want to spend as little money as I can while still getting a good performance. I have chosen 2 routes to go with this, The http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=ud3&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1%7C19-113-285%5E19-113-285-TS%2C13-128-514%5E13-128-514-TS&percm=13-128-514%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24'> AMD Option or the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=ud3h&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1%7C19-116-898%5E19-116-898-TS%2C13-128-592%5E13-128-592-TS&percm=13-128-592%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24'> Intel option ,If I went the AMD way then I would save $100. The less that I have to spend the better, but I don't want to be stupid and get something bad just because it is cheaper. I am a gamer so I already have a Radeon 7950 but I need a new CPU. Would going the Intel route really be worth the extra $100? I don't need the integrated graphics, a whole bunch of usb 3.0s, or tons and tons of SATA ports, so it really wouldn't help me. The reason I got the 8320 was because I was going to overclock it to the 8350 standards and leave it there, or perhaps more depending on how I felt. However, if I got an intel I wouldn't overclock it. Thanks for any information.

all you linked was a processor and motherboard...do you have everything else?

you said you have the HD 7950,what about a power supply,case,DDR3 ram,HDD?

also what do you need it for?

gaming?

3D modeling and Animation?

Video Editing?

I vote the AMD solution, cheaper and still able to provide very competitive performance. A couple years we might see games start to utilize more than 2 or 4 cores since the new consoles will be using I believe, 8 cores. Also if you do (not saying it's bad by any stretch of the imagination) make sure it's the 4670k or else you won't be able to overclock. The reason I said that is because the Newegg link had a 4670.

EDIT: I recommend you get this monitor instead. It uses an IPS panel which gives superior colour reproduction (next to PLS which is way too expensive for me). http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260109

And it looks a lot better.

They look the same to me except the one I chose has a higher contrast ratio and it is 3D

You picked a 4670 which is not unlocked for overclocking with a z87 motherboard which is for overclocking. You could do much cheaper.
