Memory Selection

Go to solution Solved by joelthezombie15,

Hey there mate!

Thanks for the suggestion. Huh! So G.Skills specialty is RAM hey?

I have heard that Corsair memory CAN be unreliable. By your suggestion would you say that G.Skill is much more reliable?

Could you perhaps recommend some:

Budget G.Skill memory

Regular G.Skill memory

High end G.Skill memory

If you don't mind. Please?

I wouldnt say corair is unreliable, but i would trust G.skill a bit more just because all they make is memory (And a few ssds)

Hi guys,

Some of you may have read my previous posts or topics regarding my new PC Build. Well I've been thinking about the memory (AKA RAM). There seems to be a debate over what is the best brand of memory to go with. I currently have selected an 8GB set of Corsair Vengeance memory. However some are suggesting that G.Skill is better.

So I want to know which brand of memory would you go with and what you think is the best bang-for-the-buck (as the saying goes).

To help me get an overal visual on what you guys prefer I have added a poll for you to vote between the Corsair Vengeance memory and the G.Skill memory.

Ram is ram. Get the cheapest ram with the correct specs and you're solid.

I also voted G. skill because unlike Corsair, you can practice self defense with a pair of Ripjaws.

Both are good. The only reason I voted G.Skill is because my RipJaws don't interfere with my NH-D14, but Corsair Vengeance would.

Ah alright, what type of G.Skill memory have you got?

BTW I love your profile/user pic. Nice!

Ripjaws X 1600 MHz, and I'm about to get some more Ripjaws Z... mixmatched, but I think it'd look awesome.

And about the profile picture, I wasn't too sure if I was allowed to put up pure pornography, but I seem to have gotten away with it so far :P
