by that time dude god knows what intel will have out for cpu's.......8 core i7 under $500? thatd be nice.....

Alright guys I think I will do this. I think paying off student loans faster is better than a nice computer. Unless I get a job that requires a nice PC for CAD or rendering.

Your current PC is more than capable of entry level CAD work.

I'll say this OP... saving now, spending when you have consistent money is the way to go. There were times in most of our lives when we want something, but knew it's not important. Money management is imperative. I know I sound like an old man, but it's true.

Alright this might be an odd question but for my 16 birthday my parents give it one last hurrah before they stop giving me gifts and I get to spend $2500. My birthday is in August and I will turn 16 in 2016. I want to build an awesome rig that will last me until I finish college. I am hoping to use Skylake and the Nvidia Pascal chip when that comes out but do you guys think I should buy the AMD 390X when it comes out and keep it in my current rig until I build my new one and save on a graphics card? With that money too I could buy a laptop I also need for college, but I could by that senior year with my own money. What do you guys think, build an amazing PC with mostly max stuff like DDR4, Skylake, 32 Gb RAM, SSD, 4K monitor, and a new GPU that support HBM? I have a GTX760 right now and I just want to play GTA V at medium 60 FPS. I don't know if I should buy a new graphics card or use the money I have been saving to build an even more epic $3500 gaming PC or $3000. All I know is that is the most I am probably ever going to spend on a PC, well until I have a set career that pays well.

You're talking about something almost a year and a half away, no one can really tell you what to get right now. All I can really estimate is some high end nvidia/ amd gpu and some high end i5/i7 xD.
