I've been a bit lax with the security of this computer since its only a temporary solution until I receive the parts for my newer laptop, and today I came across this:

What is a good, free method for preventing this? I'm downloading spybot and malware bytes to clean it up, but I need something that will work in realtime.

If you're talking about the ad, have you tried an ad blocker? Not sure if there's an Opera add-on for any ad blockers worthwhile or not though...

Whats the problem?

The add that keeps popping up, and its not part of webpages as it doesn't show up when I use 'inspect element'.

If you are being "Secure" the best solution would be to stop worrying about ads and get of XP...

Its a temporary laptop, and it is no where near capable of running anything after XP.

Just get the adblock add-on for Opera... I doubt it's some malware, looks to be like a regular ad on a website.
