Help deciding on an OS

Hey there! Recently built my first PC and can't decide on which Operating System to use for my build. Currently running Vista in which I've always loved.. Just trying to get the sense of what most prefer.. Thanks

8.1 is the only answer unless you have a legitimate reason that a legacy OS is required in your situation

If you want something similar to Vista use Windows 7.

Its the most efficient,stable and secure OS out there (and is getting the dx12 patch). Not to mention the free Windows 10 upgrade.

Notree please explain to me these benefits if you can.  Also I have seen many a thread on Steam where people are having trouble with that OS and gaming so definitely was not interested in moving to it.
