Help me clarify Game packages

Go to solution Solved by Grrizz,

Thanks for the answer, but I still need a little clarification about the quoted part. Do I get the modules once the modules release or do I get them when the full game is released?

The modules are components of the final game setup for testing functionality and balancing, the persistent universe will blend functionality from all the modules together in what will make up the game (with a few additional layers like economy etc.). When the game releases the modules will still be there but as simulators aka games that people can practice with without risking their ships or selves but they will all be included in the purchase of the game, the only reason you have to buy each module separately at the moment for alpha access is because all the packages with alpha access to everything are long gone so the passes pay for the extra server space :)

Any package that includes "Squadron 42 Digital Download" and "Star Citizen Digital Download" include the final game, some packages come with "beta access" and some come with the "arena commander pass" aka the dogfighting alpha, each additional alpha module is supposed to be $5.

Hello guys!

I am interested in Star Citizen and want to buy it. However I am extremely confused by the Game packages you can buy...

When I browse the page I see packages that include an Arena Commander pass, and some more expensive ships that don't include it.

Is there a package that gives me access to the full game? Or is there no way to get access to all modules and modules that will release later like the FPS part for a normal price?

I just want to buy a ship and enjoy the full game but the site genuinly confuses me.

Thanks!

Any package will get you the full game with all modules once it is released.

Arena Commander Pass is only necessery when you want to play the alpha now

You can purchase packages with bigger/better ships and buy an AC pass extra and still play now.

You don't need a bigger ship or any additional ship. A basic Aurora or Mustang is perfectly fine and you can earn every ship later with in-game currency. In fact with the next Patch you can already earn REC and rent equipment to try it out first. Star Citizen is not pay to win. All the money they take now will go into development of the game.

A look at our sticky threads and RSI's FAQ is worth a look

Hope that helps  :)

The modules are the game, they are getting stringed together slowly. we have dog fighting and racing and soon the FPS, when the PTU release it will tie these all together to make the game... basicly
