Asus Fan Expert gone? Does it have a background process?

Go to solution Solved by Niksen,

Its a Asus z97-Pro (WiFi AC)

Looks lige Fan Expert has become a part of ASUS Dual Intelligent Processors. Also, the settings seem to be active, event in BIOS, so no windows process.

I was wondering...

  • Is Asus no longer offering Fan Expert (software)?
  • Will software like Fan Expert have to run in the background to work?  Is any background process running?
  • When I have set the setting to what I like, can I uninstall the software, and the setting will still work? Where is the settings saved/stored?

Just a few interesting questions. I Hope that someone can answer :)
