Silicon Lottery?
Go to solution
Solved by ropesend,
It refers to the fact that all chips may have different max overclocks. For example you could build two identical systems both with a 4790k in them. One might OC to over 5Ghz, and the other may not get past 4.7Ghz all on the same settings. You might say that you did well in the silicon lottery for the 1st chip and badly with the second.
