Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Hello

I read somewhere that the 840 evo will slowdown after a while

That was a firmware bug and was fixed with an update. If you've had your ssd for a while i'd update it and run the magician.

Well

1.7TB written

529 hours of work time

Sequential reads have dropped from a good 552 MB/s to ~485 MB/s.

Write speeds have remained the same

Random reads and writes have gone up though...

Never really bothered to check the speeds before but all of that happened in the space of 12 days so...

Sorry my english is so bad :|

what is the meaning of partially effective ? haha

As I remember, it worked for a little while, but eventually wore off a little bit. Both of my 840 EVO's seem fine, and my 120GB EVO is still fine, despite the amount of data written to it and the power on hours.

There was a fix, but apparently there are some drives out there that it didn't completely fix.

One theory is that first batch drives use a different configuration for the NAND flash which the fix didn't account for.

Samsung is aware and waiting for another fix for those drives.

Those not having issues since the fix not need to worry.

There are PC Perspective podcasts addressing this issue on YouTube.

I applied the fix to my 250GB EVO and have not had slow downs since.

According to Samsung Magician I'm using the latest firmware, so yeah.

Oh okay

so should i update it right now ? or updated when i'm starting some slowing down?

I honestly am not sure if I have, but I think I updated both of mine.

As for host writes, it depends what you do with it. Mine is still fairly low, but all I really do to this one is web browsing, and it's been through a few OS installs.

I'm assuming you copied a lot of games to it or something? Because all the host writes really tell you is how much crap you've written to it.

It might if it saves stuff like user data and stats, but those tend to be small files. However, if you watch a lot of HD YouTube, then that can start to pile up. And I imagine Windows Updates will hammer it a bit.

Ah so the big concerns is

windows itself (windows update)

and yeah i usually watch youtube at 720p

so thats the main culprit?

thank you so much for the help ! :)

It's fine. By the time the SSD fails, something else would have bit it or you will have upgraded.
