£700 Build

GameDragon

HI, as the title suggests, I am going to build a £700 pc but before I buy and build I wanted to come to the pc community and ask "what would you change about this build?"

So, what would you change about this build. It is for gaming and I have a budget of around £700 and I don't want to go much more over that.

Thanks for any help!

That build is pretty imbalanced. First of all with the money you are spending on the g3258 you can get a much better processor in the form of a locked i5. Secondly in most titles the g3258 is going to bottleneck the 290x. Secondly why the 500w psu? For that price and for a 290x an evga supernova 650w would have been much better.

Unless you're considering upgrading that pentium in the near future theres no point in getting Z97 board. If the pentium is there to stay: please dont pair it with such a powerful GPU.

Here. This is a much more balanced build. You could save about 20£ if you get an i5 4440 and h81 motherboard. With the saved money you can get a better keyboard or a more feature packed motherboard. You can also save some more money by getting an r9 290. The possibilities are endless with this option.
