If I am going 3 way SLI I am not looking at EVGA or Corsair for my PSU.  Seriously get SeaSonic.

EVGA's G2 & P2 line are some of the best PSU's on the market and have received competing & even higher ratings on some units than Seasonic units from reviewers like Johnnyguru.

I really don't care. The trusted name for years for psus that one would use for an expensive gaming rig would be SeaSonic.  Why would I waste my time trying an EVGA psu? Guaranteed the OP can find a SeaSonic that is awesome. Seriously if he is 3 way SLIing something really good he doesn't want to **** around and chance it with other brands. I have Antec and EVGA psus in my pcs but if I was doing 3 way SLI with great cards I am sorry but SeaSonic would my choice.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

EVGA has the best customer support you derp. SeaSonic's are usually used for OEM's and look ugly as fuck.

Hi guys can you tell me a corsair or evga power supply for 3-way sli 980s? (price up to 180$ max)

You are going to go cheap on the psu and you are talking about triple SLIing GTX 980s.  Seriously I think you need to rethink what you are doing.

Ugly as fuck. LOL! So in this situation this matters?  I think having a reliable, powerful PSU is what matters you moron.  Also in regards to EVGA they are the company that cheaped out on the cooling solution for their GTX 900 series cards so they can go **** themselves.

Dude you started talking about how ugly the SeaSonic psus were so you lost all cred there.  Who gives a **** what they look like when you are building a pc like the OP is building.

Look at some efficiency numbers on Seasonic .vs EVGA, the EVGA is the better PSU you nigwop.

LOL!

I'm being serious.

Here's my older post on Delta:

They are the largest SMPS OEM that makes power supplies for various of industry and quite predominant in server market along with Zippy, Etasis, Flextronics, etc. They are the type of company that is able to build a new design from the ground up with the highest reliability, while meeting the demands of the company that is buying from them. The higher-end Delta build Antecs are so over-engineer, that it is capable of outputting far beyond what it is rated for while still remaining in specification. Heard of the Antec HCP-1200? It capable of drawing 2200wAC from the wall.

A review from ChipHell, had shown a <1% regulation and ~20mV on the 12v, which the unit is supplying at least 1600wDC. http://www.chiphell.com/article-2153-5.html

It seem that you do read JG reviews. You will often see that Delta would set a standard for other units to be compared to, especially when it comes to build quality.

For example:

"Seasonic is still not the best in the world when it comes to build quality. Delta is. Impervio is." - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&file=print&reid=267

"Excellent soldering, here. Not quite as good as I've seen from the likes of Delta, but good enough that I don't feel the need to pull points for it." - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&file=print&reid=340

"Flextronics is our OEM for this one, which is no shock to me. It takes a server grade OEM to give us Delta like performance, especially at this power level" - http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&file=print&reid=378

"Delta build quality. Enough said." -  http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=352

Of course, top-notch build quality comes at a price. The HCP-850 Platinum in the US can go for almost $230 USD at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Antec-HCP-850-Platinum-Current-PLATINUM/dp/B00EMTBY3C

Which cost slightly less than the also very well build EVGA Supernova 1200w P2: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Supernova-Platinum-Certified-220-P2-1200-X1/dp/B00KYK1CKI

Anyways, enough with this silly discussion on what one would think is a better than the other. Seasonic makes excellent high-end PSUs. EVGA also sell them in the high-end segment as well (Super Flower Leadex G2/P2/T2). There are few others as well. What he should get would be based on where he is buying from and his budget.

Seriously you need to swat up on EVGA G2/P2/T2 power supplies. They are every bit as good as Seasonic.

Again who has been in the game longer ....

and therefore I'd recommend the OP go with the SeaSonic.

Oh and let me get this right from now on ....

The company is Sea Sonic and I wish stores and other places would get the brand name right.

Why does it matter who has been around the longest ? Your logic is flawed.
