4k routers

What wireless routers can stream 4k videos because me and my dad want to move to 4k once it comes down a little more.

Any of them that support ac, really. N might be able to pull it off.

I would at least get anything that is Wireless AC, I really don't think Wireless N will be able to support it.

1.stream from a webservice like netflix ? if so you should be more than fine with wireless N

 

2.stream from a ripped 4k bluray movie ? AC would be necessary since it would probably be around 50Mbps+

 

3. Ripped video from "the net" i bet wireless N would be capable

Netflix suggests 25Mbps, you should be able to do that with decent N, N600 and up for the required headroom

For 4K videos stored on a network share? You could get upto ~100Mbps or so easily. Good N would be pushing it but AC should do

... as long as the reception is good and it buffers the content reasonably well

 

Of course if you want to do game streaming? There is no buffer, so I personally wouldn't go with wireless at all. Particularly for 4K.
