Not all games utilize a lot of cores. (Some do and it is very beneficial kinda).

My friend got the 8320 and has had no problems with it so far, it is up to you. Look at some benchmarks on game between the 2 CPU's, maybe make your choice from the benchmarks?

Im just finalizing some stuff to finish my first build and.. im in a bit of a budjet i need a cpu, ram, hdd, ssd, and i want a hyper 212 evo for around 350ish

It is doable, however you might have to drop the SSD and wait until you have enough (unless you get a good deal and get a cheap on)

First off, do you have any components?

Whats your budget? (350$?)

And, quote our posts please ;)

extra cores/threads will always provide a smoother overall experience, and this will always trend forward with time, even though raw FPS in gaming will not increase between 6300 and 8320 at this time (with a few exceptions).

edit** just saw post after mine For that budget, I don't see any graphic card room. Keep in mind there is no iGPU in FX cpu's, so a 5800K/6600k APU is still the best bang for you buck if you want a bare minimum computer with no discrete graphic card, that performs comparably to a sandy bridge locked i5, but with 10 times better graphic performance.

That's what i've been thinking... it was either get the 6300 w/ an Ssd, or drop either the 212 evo / ssd to get the 8320

Orrrrrr.... you could drop the Evo Cooler and use stock (but do not overclock) and when you have enough get the cooler. This way you get fast load times and a better processor (even though it is on a stock cooler).

I know AMD used to ship FX cpu's with a fairly beefy stock cooler that had heat pipes even. If I'm not mistaken, they still do.

That's true, I've just heard alot of negative things about amd stock coolers so I was being a bit paranoid. I haven't thought about OC'ing yet, let alone how to go about doing it but that's for another day lol.

Only the 8 cores and the 125W 4/6 cores- and it's still loud.

The 95W 4300 & 6300  cores have an aluminium thing which is fairly quiet.

You could drop down the PSU and save a few $$$. Use a power calculator to see how much you need (then go for the next PSU up from that. For example if it says 450w get a 550w)

*edit* misread your post.

seems like they've changed it then. I know someone with a 41xx FX cpu, and it came with the heatpipe stock cooler.

you are right, it was loud until they adjusted the fan curve from ramping up and down like a yo-yo.

I already own that PSu I got a really good deal on it. I also own the motherboard case and whatnot, I just need a CPU, Ram, Storage (Preferably SSD/HDD), and I want to get a Hyper 212 evo but that may be debatable.

Oh yeah, I for got sorry. Well, you do not HAVE to have a Hyper 212 or an SSD, you sould flip a coin?! Orrrrrr, you could just weigh out the advantages and disadvantages of both and then base it off of that?
