Was thinking the other day, wouldn't be really nice if the SSD manufactures could stop messing around and sticking to the old system and change it.

This is what this rant is about. I bought a 240gb SSD. Did i get the Full 240Gb Well Yes and No. Yes it is there but its used for the File allocation table. But No.. i can't use it.

Its been this way for years and honestly think it needs to change. If i buy a 240Gb SSD, give me a 250Gb and have your Table and give me my Full 240Gb of useable storage ! !

Whats so hard about this ?! we have the Tech !

@Not_Sean it's more to do with HDD and SSD manufacturer measuring 1GB = 1000MB instead of 1GB = 1024MB (as Windows does).

15" MBP TB

AMD 5800X | Gigabyte Aorus Master | EVGA 2060 KO Ultra | Define 7 || Blade Server: Intel 3570k | GD65 | Corsair C70 | 13TB
