Hello everyone!

So lately the ads on my browser (chrome) were unbearable, I mean almost any link, that pops up is an ad, they even sneak it into emails, youtube annotations, youtube sharing to facebook etc. How can I get rid of them? (I use adblock, but it does not work for this problem). And it is not a pop up ad like it was a little earlier, like win an ipad or smth. Now it is casino or random ads idk what to do it is really annoying :/

EDIT: For example I wanted to share a song, I clicked share to Facebook on YT and this popped up.

Take a look in your Chrome Extensions and programs (via Windows Control Panel)

It's probably some malware.

Care to take some screenshots of the annoying ads? I can probably recognize if they are legit or not legit ads.

I have uploaded one of them. :)

That certainly looks like malware.

As I suggested, take a look in the Chrome Extensions, your control panel and you might want to run a quick virus scan as others suggested.

how can I check it via extensions?

You press the button in the top right corner of Chrome, press 'More tools' and click extensions.

Often you will see what extension is not legit, but if you can't just be sure to remove all non-Google extensions.

Otherwise you want to go to Control Panel, Programs, remove program and look around there.

Check your plug-ins/extensions, there could be an adware app hiding in there.

Get Malwarebytes in addition to some free AV software, sounds like something is injecting ads into your machine.

I use chrome too... the adblock works for me just fine make sure you get this ad block from the chrome store https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom?hl=en

I have never used malware bits but I would prefer to use a security software that I pay for (McAffee) Becuase I know it's safe and Its a good product.

Oh malwarebytes is great. And if things you pay for make you know it's safe and is good. Get the premium version of malwarebytes lol. But I wouldn't go by that rule for a lot of things out there haha.
