Should i upgrade to a 960? [answered]

Go to solution Solved by Faceman,

Nope.

An R9 280 or above.

If you have $200 for a 960, then save $20 more and wait for NCIX to have their R9 290 sale.  The Gigabyte Windforce R9 290 goes on sale for $220 once a month.

I've been running an MSI gtx 660 for 2.5 years now and was wondering if upgrading to a 960 is worth it.

i wouldn't think so its a bit less powerful than a 760 so if anything i would recomend upgrading to an r9 280/x or 760

Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 280X 3GB TurboDuo Video Card  ($225.52 @ Amazon)

Total: $225.52

Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Would be a decent upgrade.

Or wait for a decent deal on a 290 like @Faceman said.

Just avoid getting the 960 , its bad value.

I wouldn't. I have the 960 at the moment as it suits my budget and gaming needs, but if you can get something more powerful, then do so. The cost and availability of cards in Canada is a pain at the moment
