4k 28", 4k ultra wide 34"or 2k 27" details below.

Donnyboy98

is 28 big when you are up so close at a desk?

I have exactly the same thing to say as Badger906, 28" isn't too big nor is it too small and don't worry too much about the 4K Windows Scaling I am working at the default DPI settings only had to change the setting for the start menu in Windows 8.1.

I have the same monitor and no its not too big! I went from a 22" to a 28" and its so much better. I used to suffer from motion sickness with big screens but the smaller pixels and sharper image on a 4k stops that happening.

highly recommend the Acer xb280hk

With 2 gtx 980 I won't get 144fps for that 144 hz 2k monitor to look it's best? I'm talking about the graphic intensive games like crisis 3.

If you want 144 FPS with max setting for Crisis 3, you may need to go down to 1080P and need 2 GTX 980 (even then I am not sure you can keep the frame rate at 144 FPS)

I will have to wait for the titan x or the and 395x2 and see what the performance is like on those.

The Titan X would probably cost more than 2 GTX 980's. It would be very good if it's less than $1000.

I don't mind spending over 1000 for the GPU

I reckon you should hop onboard the 4K Hype Train and put up with those scaling issues. #HypeTrain :P

Steam and Origin are the only programs I've encountered with scaling problems. Even then the text isn't illegibly small, even with my crappy eyes.

As for all of this talk about Crysis 3 -- I think you're all stupid. If you think back to the first Crysis game, the first GPU that could max that at 1080p at reasonable framerates was the GTX 580. That's a four year gap between the game's release and GPU hardware catching up. I think you're being ridiculous to demand Crysis 3 at 4K at reasonable framerates, at maximum presets this soon after release given everything you know about the ethos of the franchise.
