A man came into a hardware store to buy something. So he got what he needed and went to the clerk.

 

Man: How much for one?

Clerk: That would be ¢20 sir.

Man: Okay here you go.

 

The man then went out of the store but came back as quickly as he came out and then asked the clerk.

 

Man: How much for 12?

Clerk: ¢40 sir.

Man: For 122?

Clerk: just ¢60 sir.

Man: Okay I'll take it.

 

What did the man buy?  :D

House numbers/stickers(like the other answer) 1 is just 20. then when he wanted 12 it becomes 40 since he buys a 2. then when he want's 122 he needs 60.
