Its a chair.

What makes a chair a good chair?

Comfort.

Nothing else, the rest isn't too important.

Well, unless you want a spinny chair with wheels or that's reclineable

EDIT: The forum is breaking for me D:

The main thing is comfort, which is pretty obvious. There's not real definition of comfort, just personal preference, just head to Costco, staples, Ikea and lounge around on their office chairs to test them out. Honestly, I would not go for the overpriced race-car type "gaming chairs" as they are far to over rated and and large for what you need, goodluck!

What makes a good "gaming" chair?

Oh the good ol "gaming" chair hype, when will it be enough...

Let me break it down for you real quick.

Go to your nearest departmental store (costco, best buy, target etc.), sit in a chair, you like it? you can afford it? THEN BUY IT.

I would look for a chair, not a gaming chair. They usually have extra features and some snake oil which makes them useless.

I have a DX Racer. And as Luke pointed out in that Arozzi video. It forces posture.

Since getting this chair my back has improved immensely over using a rather stupid expensive HAG office chair, which is 5 times more expensive then the DX racer, and supposed to be super ergonomic.

Considering a cheap "good" Ikea chair is 200usd,(as in not the crappy 40usd ones that makes you hemorrhoid and will make your thighs clot.) And the DXRacer drifting was 280usd. The shipping was also way cheaper, it's immense value.

I was gonna go all out and get myself a Maxnomic C9 Chair. My cousin got one and after two months of usage, there were signs of wear-n-tear and the durability isn't very good. I went into MemoryExpress to actually try it out, it feels good, very adjustable, but the material feels cheap as hell, its very thin and also it isn't leather. Some cheap plastic shit.

Exactly, most of them are overpriced pieces of junk imo.
