I will be revamping my system in a month or so and I want some new fans to replace my Corsair Quiet Edition fans.

I will need 2 (probably 140mm, maybe 120mm) front intake fans, 2 140mm SP fans for a AIO, 1 140mm rear exhaust and possibly a 120mm/140mm bottom intake fan.

These fans have to look great (similar to the Corsair fans, (I'm running a red themed build but dont want an overpowering amount of red)), provide better airflow/static pressure and run equally or quieter, an added bonus would be that the cable is sleeved.

Thanks in advance.

just edited my post there, I'm not fond of the colour of the noctua fans sadly, and I dont really want to shell out an arm and a leg for the industrial fans

you dont like gray?

Trying to avoid grey, though the industrial fans do look pretty good, £20+ for 1 fan is a little out of the question

bitfenix has some black fans, and some black fans with red LED, which are pretty good

Are the bitfenix fans better than the Corsair QE ones? and I'm avoiding LED fans this time around

they have a better airflow to noise ratio while keeping good static pressure

so you dont have to choose between AF and SP because they are good at both

they are just a bit louder than noctua fans though

There is another company called Cougar. They make fans with hydraulic dynamic bearings, which last 300,000 hours and are dead silent. I have these fans on my NZXT Phantom build, and I can't hear them at all. I believe they are rated at 17.9 dBA, so if you're okay with paying for Corsair Quite Series fans, you should really go with some Cougar fans. Word of warning, the fans that do not have LEDs are either orange with black accents or black with orange accents. Hope this helps in some way. Cheers.

Thanks for the recommendation, I saw someone mention these fans before but never looked into it, Ive got it in my mind that I want the 'jack of all trades' fan and it simply doesnt exist. I think the closest Ive gotten are the Noctua PPC fans but I dont really want to spend £100+ on new fans just to suit my need for epeen haha

What I'm trying to ask as a whole from this thread is; Can I justify spending £100+ on new fans? would the new fans be THAT much quieter and push much more air through than my Corsair SE fans?

I've personally never dealt with Corsair SE fans, but I have personally spent over that amount on fans. Albeit, I've changed out all the fans for color scheme purposes way too many times, but I can assure you, spending that kind of money goes a long way when you get high quality fans like Cougar. They push a great amount of air, they're absolutely silent, and they last forever.

I use Cougars (Freudian slip?) and love them, very quiet, look awesome and shift a decent amount of air. At the moment they are in short supply over the counter here in Canada, but as soon as the shops restock, I will be grabbing a few more.

+1

I got the 140 HDB (CF-V14HB 140mm), it's the black version with orange corners, it's quiet and push a solid amount of air...

I use it in the bottom of my 200R case.

SE = Silent Edition

Oh, well specs are:

Phanteks Evolv ATX (when it comes out)

i7 4770k

Corsair H110i GT

Asus Z97 Maximus Hero

2x R9 280X DCII Top

As I have a 500r with a 200mm fan blowing directly on my GPU's and the Evolv wont Im thinking about getting better performing fans but look just as good, sleeved cables will be a benefit as I will be getting sleeved cables from CableMod (colour scheme and everything)

So Im asking if spending a lot more would be worth it and if so what fans are better and look just as good.

So Cougar fans are out of the question as they are orange and mine is a red/black theme, thanks

Have you looked at Be Quiet Silent Wings?

They look the part but Im wondering are they worth replacing my corsair QE fans?

As soon as I can get the 140s I want, I will be replacing those fans, from testing in my own tower, the Cougars are roughly 50% quieter under load. I would imagine the Be Quiets would offer about the same noise reduction. At the end of the day, its up to you.
