Need a new AMD motherboard for my 8350

I recently got a 8350 for my Extreme 3 Asrock motherboard and all it does is throttle because of the VRM on the motherboard.Need a new motherboard that is STABLE with the 8350 as well as overclockable and matches the color scheme of my other hardware. The motherboard needs to have no problems and could only be either black or blue.Any suggestions ?

Don't really wanna go asrock as they have a vrm problem with the 8350 along with other motherboards. Also the Asus motherboard doesn't match my color scheme and is too pricey.

I'm using the ASUS sabertooth 990fx R2.0, love it. Might want to check that out.

The m5 990fx has a vrm issue and will also throttle my 8350 according to customer reviews.

The gigabyte UD5 also throttles according to reviews. Is there a motherboard that doesn't throttle the 8350.About to switch to Intel. This sucks.

An asus sabertooth will solve that problem, it isn't exactly cheap though. You may want to consider saving for an upgrade instead and roll with what you have as long as you can.

I have the UD5 and a FX-8320 clocked at 4.6Ghz with 1.35v. Even at 1.45v it doesn't throttle. Whoever was complaining about this left the LLC on auto instead of Performance.

I should also add that my VRM doesn't get much airflow since my CPU is watercooled, so I was giving is a worse case scenario and it still didn't throttle.

Bear with it until you can upgrade to an intel platform.

I really like the Asrock 990FX Extreme 9, because it is probably one of the most overbuild 990FX boards out there. The 990FX Sabertooth is also a very capable board.

Gigabyte 990fxa-UD3P
8+2 vrm, got me to 5ghz doesnt have crossfire/sli but has everything else you could want and is pretty much all black so goes with anything.

msi 970 gaming is a great board with sli and crossfire etc (actually a 990x chipset im betting) only has a 6+2 vrm but this is good for 4.5+ daily, have used 3 of these on separate builds and love it.

This.

This post is a tragic example of the fate that befalls too many FX owners.

Look at all that money saved.

None.

I apologize to the OP, but this is a cautionary tale to all of those who think FX processors are a good deal.  For you, I think the best thing to do is sell the CPU and mobo on Craigslist, then invest your money into a locked i5 + compatible motherboard.

OP if you're dead set on getting a new AM3+ motherboard, this one is the better buy right now...this is a new and incredibly strong motherboard with sexy features offered at very good price right now:
