Alright so I am looking to get a Corsair 450D case since it seems to be a nice case for air cooling. My current case is some cheap-o 30$ case i got off newegg that has done me well the past 4 years. But now im upgrading.
I am also looking to upgrade the fans.
I couldn't tell you what kind i currently have but my friends uncle gave them to me when i built my system back in the day..
But I know that the fans themselves are like 5-6 years old. So im looking to improve on those as well.

SUGGESTIONS?!

I'd stick with the stock fans and (unless they're particularly loud, or if their sound signature clashes with that of the stack fans) maybe even add the ones you already have to fill all of the available fan apertures.

There's an advantage to matching fans of the same make and type since the noise they produce (the sound waves) can cancel each other out, so you get more performance for less noise, but unless you're planning on overclocking you should be okay with just the stock fans.

Not looking to replace the fans in the 450D when i get it. Just looking to possible add 2 or 3 more. Or possibly get the same case fans but instead of the 120mm maybe i can get the 140mm

I'd suggest seeing how the stock fans perform before preemptively buying more.

140mm will be more efficient in terms of performance per decibel but they are inherently louder than 120mm fans.

You don't really need 140mm fans unless you're overclocking. If you want to add fans, you don't want to break the bank and you don't wan to use the ones from your last rig I'd say fit more of the same type as the ones that come as stock with your case.

If you want to replace all of them, I personally use Aerocool 120mm Dead Silents (but I don't recommend their 140mm fans). They're not PWM but they come with fittings to under-volt them and your mobo might have fan control options.

Failing that you could get a fan controller but then the whole thing starts to get a little pricey.
