Good chormebook for gaming?

Evga
Go to solution Solved by insulin shots,

I just recently got a HP Stream 13 which is a cheap windows 8.1 machine. The only game I have installed is League of Legends but it runs well at low settings around 40-50 fps.

Looking for a chromebook for editing and gaming (nothing demanding, just cs:go or dota 2). Are there any for around the $250 price point? My desktop will handle most of the heavy gaming but just need the chromebook to pull playable fps(40-50fps) on cs:s  cs:go, and Dota 2

Edit: Would be installing linux or win 8.1 onto it

Can you even install Steam on a ChromeOS?

I thought you couldn't, I will Google :P

Why not go for a Windows laptop if you wanted to do that anyways?

Like the HP Stream. I believe Austin Evans has a review on it.

For 250 dollars it will play flash games online. You're expecting way too much from a Chromebook. They are general use machines for web and word tasks. This is coming from some someone who owns an Acer 11 C740.

Will the hp stream pull 40 fps on cs:go and will it perform ok-ish on rendering and adobe ps?
