This is the new Pebble

cloclo8003

God damnit Pebble...I was really hoping this would actually look like a nice watch...but no, you went for a cross between the original butt ugly pebble and slightly less ugly Pebble steel...

Is a nice looking watch (and ideally some useful functionality) so much to ask for...

Thanks, now i am not sure if I should get it or wait for a fully steel body version. you know if their are any other hardware changes like better CPU and stuff?

Definitely; with a 64-color display and voice control, it's got a much more powerful chip than before. Not a Snapdragon 400, but still more capable.

It also holds 'unlimited' apps, because apps are only a few KB in size. Older Pebbles are limited to 8, but this one has much more memory; maybe 5MB.

Then I will wait until I can get one with a metal band, I only wear steel or titanium watches.

As I said earlier, if it's still compatible with standard watch bands, you can put anything you want. If it is compatible, I'm not sure.

I've already got a Pebble Steel and I'm not going to spend just as much again for pretty much just the color screen (and worse looks). Still, I love the idea of color e-ink displays and hope we see more of them in the future (even if I doubt they're viable for use in EVERY situation).

This looks so cool. Wish I had the money to back it.

I finally backed this. I've been having trouble deciding if this was a good purchase but I trust the company. Also, my main reason for not getting the original pebble or pebble steel was that I wanted to wait for the second pebble to come out. I really hope this product turns out well. I don't really know how badly this could go though since they've had such success with the pebble.
