GPU Sag/Bent GPU?

Hi,

Is this a normal amount of GPU sag AND is it normal to bend more at the end?

Yes and yes. Neither of my cards sag since they have this rigidity plate or whatever on the business side of the PCB. Every GPU should have one, IMHO.

EDIT: On my 7950, it's the black bit, and on my 480 it's the part right next to the PCB that the plastic shroud hooks up with.

Your GPU sag isn't that bad. Also yes it's pretty normal for it to sag more in the end since there is going to be more force acting on the end. Simple physics haha

I had a GPU that warped so much you could almost call it twisted, but it worked okay. It happens. These day I try and secure the power plugs to the outside of the drive bay with cable ties so that they offer a little more stability for the card (keeping it held level etc.), you might be able to figure out a similar system.

You could loop cable ties around the GPU power plugs and string them up to the top of the case to hold it level? (Just basically MacGyver a solution)

GPU manufacturers should stop having gaps between the fan shroud and the PCI-e slot. Thats that stops the sag on the reference cards.

Mine doesn't sag since my motherboard lies flat parallel to the ground.  :lol:
