GTX 970 SLI utilization

blu4

Hi,

I've got a pair of GTX 970 in SLI and in some games (AC Black Flag, Alien Isolation) I notice the GPU utilization to hover around 70% for both of them. Is this due to drivers or the game? Any apparent solution to this?

Nontheless, your GPU usage should be normal as long as the FPS are pinned at 60.

You shouldn't have believed the hype: 970 SLI is very adequate for 4K. For 1440p it would have been magnificent.

OP, have you loaded a profile in Nvidia Inspector? This can help if the default driver profiles are a bit rubbish.

I have an I7 4820k with 8GB RAM. I am running the games at 4K. The averages 60-65 but drops frequently to 45-50. The GPU utilization stays in place.
