Alternate Motherboard to the Z97-G45?

So in a fortnight i will be building my first build and am most likely going to use the i5-4690k and am going to overclock. i have been recommended the MSI Z97-G45 gaming (https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97g45gaming) by several people but coming in at $190 AUD i was wondering if there was anything that offered the same features (or slightly less that gets rid of unimportant ones) at a better price point or if there was a motherboard that had different features but was more worthwhile? i am not concerned about colour because i can change the model/colour of my GPU easily enough. i really don't want to overspend if i don't need to so then i have some money left over for shipping which i only realised recently is not included in pcpartpicker (i can pick some of it up) .

if anybody is interested in the whole build here it is

opinions would be great, thanks heaps :)

The G55 SLI is blue, but it offers similar features without the xXxG4YM1NxXx stuff for a tiny bit less. It's the cheapest SLI board and it's rather nice.

If you don't care about SLI, the AsRock Z97 Pro4 is pretty fine as a board and comes in at about $40 less than the Gaming 5.

What are the features you are looking for?

How many internal Sata drives are you using/want to use?

How many USB port do you need?

You seem to want to overclock, use a single graphics card, 2 SATA drives.

Maybe take a look at the motherboards LTT featured in their bang for the buck video series.

@stuka06

features (that i'm aware of)

- decent OC-ability (i am new to it and want to be reasonably supported in case of mistakes

- i will use 4 SATA drives at the Very max anytime in the future

- not a ridiculous amount, maybe 8 at once ever?

- i want it to be a reliable brand so it doesn't fail for whatever reason

- audio isn't a priority but i don't want to listen to crap quality stuff

- memory OC-ability, im not sure if it really matters much performance wise but its not at all important

- price/value needs to be reasonable, for EG the VII hero might be great value but is too expensive, as you can see im shying away from spending $190

- obviously needs to be z97 and LGA1150 to support my CPU

- an easily usable BIOS

i think i have mentioned everything needed, but i am not sure what i am really looking for with motherboards, this ^^^ is just a guess at what i would be looking for. if i have missed anything special or significant let me know. cheers (:

if you think i should keep the motherboard and change something else please tell me. i was thinking that if i couldn't find a 'better' motherboard i could reduce SSD size, Case (to s340 maybe) or RAM even.
