Anyone know a good gaming computer?

babadoctor

I actually tried explaining it to them, the only problem: they dont know anything about computers

As a parent, I would be less concerned about the specifications and parts, and more about your technical ability to assemble it.  If they're anything like me (I am a parent by the way) watching the build videos would help with that.    But don't put yourself into a position where it might make it look like you're arguing with them.  We parents don't like arguing. :)

But hey.. there are plenty of good custom-built PC shops online.   Just don't go to a major manufacturer.  Less options, and less quality.

Edit // Oh ya!  I think I read that NCIX will assemble the parts you buy from them for something like $50. That's reasonable.  You should look into that.

Show her the video of Jayztwocents five year old daughter build it

tell her if a 5 year old can do it so can you

PC is Intel Core i5 6400, GIgabyte H170 Gaming 3, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400Mhz ,Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB, WD Blue 1TB, NZXT S340, ASUS Geforce GTX 960. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/793XNG. Graphics card choices don't always have to be dictated on performance. If you want the game stream and power consumption of the GTX 970 get that. If you want raw performance of the R9 390 get that. In the end we are all gamers, so what if your buddy gets an extra 5 fps?
