I need a mechanical keyboard...

Now, as some of you may know I've given up on the Corsair K70 RGB since finding would is harder than finding crack.

 

Anyways, looking for keyboards that are cheap, mechanical CHERRY MX switch keyboards.

 

Im looking for Brown Switch, Blacklit, 60%, ten keyless or full sized, macros don't matter either.

 

try to keep it under 100 CAD.

 

I've had in mind making my own by buying a PCB and some switches but im not wanting to go through the pain of working that out.

 

I also think going on ebay and looking for broken keyboards and replace the switches... That would work out wonderfully but I don't think the PCB would like that much.

Massdrop is bad for canada (shipping). Plus the Ducky Shine Mini isn't priced well on MD atm -- it's like $120~ from multiple retailers who will ship it immediately (although, it is an amazing keyboard -- using it myself).

I wouldn't reccomend building your own keyboard a lot of work and money. I recommend the Rapid i tenkeyless, no drivers to fuck you over, white back light and costar build quality.

K70 non RGB, thats the one I got even though I could have bought the RGB version I don't see why someone would pay the extra money to have a colorful piece of tech. It backlights red with 3 brightness options, you can also turn it all off or select which ones do you want to light up.

Welp... Im reconsidering the K70 RGB...

 

Ack. I do want one, its just impossible to find in Canada with brown switches... Contacting Corsair wouldn't help at all probably... Its something I'd like to review as well.

With that phantom PCB would would need to custom order a plate for it to hold the switches in the correct place since as far as im aware no one currently has any plates premade and that would likely cost you $70+ to get a plate made for that

this one is offered in blues red and browns thankfully and yeah NCIX might not be a bad choice.
