What, so buying a 4960X instead of a 4690K?

I'd bring that shit (not actually shit, great but I wouldn't want one) back to the store.

Typo? Im guessing

No. The 4690k and 4960X have incredibly similar product names, it's... actually quite common for noobs to get confused. So with that in mind, you get a 4690k for video editing, or you get a 4960X for gaming, either way with the appropriate motherboard. How much would you be bothered?

Considering one is a $230~ cpu and the other involves a $1000~ cpu....you couldn't just accidentally get the wrong one.

The 5960X has been available for a while now. It's not inconceivable to get a pretty good deal on a used 4960X, and a motherboard to go with it.

If I somehow was able to get a 4960x for the same price as a 4690k I would literally be jumping up and down with joy.......Performance-wise (per core) it would be very similar to a 4690k plus come with two additional cores and 8 additional threads.
