Surface to lay mobo on?

Short and simple question, Would a cardboard box such as the one the Motherboard came in be appropriate for an anti static surface?

But that's EXACTLY what builders recommend.

 

Just make sure NOT to use the static bag. Get that, and throw it away.

Yes the motherboard box is perfect. Don't throw the anti static bag away like @Imakuni said because if u wanna sell your mobo you should put it back inside it but dont ever lay your mobo on top of the bag.
