and this is against CoC and it LITERALLY is advertising.

woah, it s a project, the links is wrong. lets wait and see.

I can link to one of my projects too, its a crc robotics competition, not nessesarly advertising.

The worst someone can do with your IP is DDos you but the thing is your ISP probably can stop a DDos attack in it's tracks.

Actually giving someone your real IP is a bit like:

 

Not locking your door but just leaving the door chain attached, then the burglar comes with a saw with the ability to cut it. 

 

Basically, if equipped the burglar can use the IP (sawing it off) to break into the house (network  e.t.c)
