What GPU should i get?

I've been thinking on getting a 970, 760 or a 680. I play mostly minecraft, battlefield 3 and 4 sometimes and all sorts of medium intensity games. Which one is "better" per say for what i'm doing, i have a intel core i5 3570k, GTX 650 Ti 2GB windforce OC, 4GB Crucial RAM (getting more), 1TB hard drive. Help would be much appreciated :).

I would get the 970, but since it's likely more expensive then a 760 or 680, consider an R9 290.

i have the 760 is a great card! it will pretty much max out all those games except for AA maybe only go as high a 2x or 4x.

Any reason you aren't looking at team red? Just curious.

 

I'd recommend a 280 / 280X / 290

680 = 770 (2GB VRAM) and is trading blows with 7970 = R9 280x (3GB VRAM). Each one of this card is more than enough to handle BF3/4 on ultra at 1080p so I would pick based on the price.

Anything higher (GTX 970, R9 290) is an option too if it fits your budget. Personaly I would go for R9 290 as it is very cheap right now and is just very slightly worse than GTX 970.

680 = 770 (2GB VRAM) and is trading blows with 7970 = R9 280x (3GB VRAM). Each one of this card is more than enough to handle BF3/4 on ultra at 1080p so I would pick based on the price.

Anything higher (GTX 970, R9 290) is an option too if it fits your budget. Personaly I would go for R9 290 as it is very cheap right now and is just very slightly worse than GTX 970.

Can confirm the 680 can do ultra/1080p, but BF3/4 uses dynamic allocation and have seen them use around 3.34gb of ram. I still get solid 60/fps on ultra but lower the scale to high for high fps.

I'd recommend a 280 / 280X / 290

My uncle says AMD products have been a failure to him, so ill take his advice. Not only it's just that i like nvidia shadowplay :P
