Hey I have recently bought a MSI r9 270x 2GB OC edition and have had a problem with it randomly crashing?

post-52012-0-08876800-1423237137_thumb.j

The screen just turns green or white with vertical lines and I have to reboot. I think it is the GPU as the rest of my system seems unaffected ( eg music will carry on playing). This happens seemingly randomly even when doing light tasks.

Does sound like a GPU issue. For the money, this R9 280 is pretty damn good. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-r9280atdfd

Hi,

When you have this situation, the light for num lock, or Maj lock on your keyboard still turn on/off ?

If yes, then it is certainly the graphics card.

And lines like that on your screen is never a good sign.

The only piece who can do that is the GPU.

Is that a recent photo of the driver version? Those drivers pictured are 18months old AFAIK, try updating to 14.12: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
